The UK and Gibraltar have reviewed contingency plans for the possibility that no EU treaty is agreed for the Rock.
The Deputy Chief Minister co-chaired a meeting of the “No Negotiated Outcome” Board, together with the UK’s Minister for Europe, Leo Docherty.
They looked at progress across a number of areas; this comes after the tabletop exercise, held last month.
Joseph Garcia said the Government remains committed to working towards a safe and beneficial treaty. However, he said it’s important at the same time to prepare for the alternative.
Dr Garcia said he was grateful to Mr Docherty for the “very close interest” he’s taken in Gibraltar since his appointment.
